Bringing the joy of singing to young people with complex needs
Since 2014, Music of Life has delivered weekly inclusive choir sessions in special schools across Warwickshire, Birmingham, Cambridge – and we have now expanded to Brent, London from September 2025
Who we reach
Children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
Young people with Autism
Learners with physical and sensory impairments
Students with complex emotional needs
What we do
1-hour weekly sessions during term time
Led by 2 vocal coaches and a pianist
Involves entire school communities
Staff join in, and often bring techniques into the classroom
Choirs perform in assemblies, concerts, and joint events with mainstream schools

Young leaders
Students in Years 10–13, and alumni, are now becoming assistant choir leaders. In 2025–26, we launched a dedicated Young Leaders programme to build confidence and leadership through music.
